element14 has signed a new global distribution contract with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to sell the small development computers around the world.
As one of the manufacturers, element14 has manufactured and delivered more than 500,000 Raspberry Pi microcomputers since the launch in February 2012.
In September 2012, element14 brought manufacturing of the Raspberry Pi from China to the UK.
According to element14, the popularity of the Raspberry Pi has not slowed down, with fans sharing ideas and innovation through its Code Exchange online community.
The new distribution contract with the Raspberry Pi Foundation is expected to further boost the availability of the microcomputer around the world, putting computer programming back at the heart of engineers, both young and old.
