Advantech has announced that it has won the distributorship of Microsoft’s suite of embedded products throughout Australia and New Zealand. The distributorship includes the promotion and sales of Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded Server and Embedded Desktop OSs.

According to Andrew Deighton, Advantech’s Technical Manager, the company will be able to get Microsoft software to clients faster by purchasing direct from Microsoft and its sales staff will be compliant and fully trained in Microsoft products. Advantech have also expanded their BTOS (Build-to-Order-Services) and CTOS (Configure-to-Order-Services) to handle the expected demand

The company claims that the move “highlights and expands [the company’s] ability to design a complete project solution (featuring hardware and software bundled) from the concept stage”.
