Hernan Alcerreca

The MathWorks is holding two free seminars for the release of 2007b and Simulink 7 in September. The Simulink World Tour is a free full-day event will include keynotes by MathWorks senior staff, technical presentations, demos, and in-depth master classes.

Attendees will get an in-depth view of what’s new in Simulink and Embedded MATLAB with Release 2007b. The MathWorks will also provide an overview of recently introduced products for physical modelling, discrete event simulation, formal model verification, and HDL code generation.

Senior software engineers from The MathWorks will show extended demos highlighting powerful new features of Simulink 7 including:

- Simulation acceleration using compiled C code and dual-core processors.

- Normal mode model reference for large-scale modelling.

- Continuous-time modelling in Stateflow.

- Code optimisation and tracing between models and generated code.

- Generating C code from Embedded MATLAB code directly at the MATLAB command line.

This will be followed by Master Classes in the afternoon, where attendees can explore new Simulink capabilities in detail such as:

- Power Tips for Using Simulink, Stateflow® and Real-Time Workshop® Embedded Coder on Large Projects.

- Algorithm Design and Code Generation with Embedded MATLAB.

The Simulink World Tour will be coming to Australia on the following dates:
