The MathWorks said it will hold complementary half-day seminars in major cities around Australia throughout February, focusing on algorithm development with MATLAB.

The seminars will cover how to use MATLAB to design, implement and verify algorithms, and speed up the C and C++ development process using the algorithm development and application deployment features.

Using MATLAB enables engineers, scientists and data analysts to accelerate research and reduce analysis and development time, as well as enhance their development process, designs, and implementation and verification of algorithms.

The seminars will be delivered by MathWorks engineers and will include technical presentations and demonstrations, including how MATLAB can be used to augment existing C or C++ algorithms by:

  • Integrating MATLAB and C/C++
  • Creating re-usable MATLAB software modules as shared libraries C/C++
  • Verifying code
  • Developing and deploying a complete standalone  application with MATLAB

The seminar dates and locations are:

Sydney: Tuesday, 2nd February 2010, 9:00am-12:00pm

Canberra: Thursday, 4th February 2010, 9:00am-12:00pm

Melbourne: Tuesday, 9th February 2010, 9:00am-12:00pm

Brisbane: Thursday, 11th February 2010, 9:00am-12:00pm

Perth: Tuesday, 16th February 2010, 9:00am-12:00pm
