This marks the 20th anniversary of the Surface Mount and Circuit Board Association (SMCBA) and the Surface Mount Conference.

Said to be the "longest running conference for the electronics industry in Australia", SMCBA executive officer, Andrew Pollock, said its success is "testimony to the importance of the conference in keeping the industry abreast of the latest developments."

Speakers for the 2008 conference include international experts such as Ray Prasad, Prasad Consultancy Group, USA, Susy Webb, Fairfield Industries, USA, and Gareth Davies, OK International, Singapore.

More than 200 electronics designers, manufacturers, service and support managers, engineers, technicians, quality assurance and process personnel from across Australia and New Zealand are expected to participate.
