Hernan Alcerreca

ADC KRONE announced the availability of a new Rack-Mounted Splitter Chassis product family that allows customers to utilise ADC KRONE’s high-performance, plug-and-play splitter modules in new ways in FTTX networks. These chassis’ are designed for use in mid-rise and high-rise Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) equipment rooms suited for centralised Optical Network Terminal (ONT) applications.

Furthermore, they can be used in test environments to allow customers to configure and test network architectures utilising ADC KRONE’s plug-and-play splitters in laboratory settings. The company’s Rack-Mounted Splitter Chassis product line is designed to fit in both 19” and 23” fibre rack frames, accommodate up to 24 plug-and-play splitters and is offered with cable management bracket kits.

The chassis splitters, in conjunction with MDU ONTs, directly feed individual MDU living units from a centralised location, allowing for better utilisation of existing MDU wiring.

In testing applications, ADC KRONE’s Rack-Mounted Splitter Chassis’ offer customers the ability to configure, test and easily reconfigure in laboratory environments the network architectures to meet FTTX deployment needs.
