Oscilloscope

Hernan Alcerreca

Pico Technology together with RS Components announced the PicoScope 2104 and 2105, the lightweight, high-performance PC Oscilloscopes designed to fit in your hand. These cost-effective instruments give you all the capabilities of a conventional oscilloscope in a compact probe that you can carry anywhere, the company said.

The PicoScope 2105 USB Pen Scope has combined features which are integral to many high performance bench top oscilloscopes, with a small, lightweight, ergonomic package that fits perfectly in the hand. When used in conjunction with PicoScope software, it converts any laptop or desktop PC with USB port into a powerful oscilloscope, without the need for additional probes or power supplies. An entry-level version (PicoScope 2104) accommodates less-demanding applications.

Features Include up to 100MS/s real-time sample rate; up to 25MHz bandwidth; digital ETS enhances repetitive signal sample rate to 2GS/s; up to 24k sample buffer; connected and powered by USB port; compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP;
