Intek security signs deal for Lawson QuickStep distribution

Lawson Software has announced that Intek Security Group Ltd, a New Zealand importer and distributor of electronic security equipment such as access control, intrusion prevention, communication and surveillance systems, will implement Lawson QuickStep Distribution.

The Lawson QuickStep solution is a pre-configured ERP package designed to help simplify and speed software implementation for distribution-based organisations. The contract was signed with Caspex Corporation, parent company of Intek, during Lawson’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2008, which ended May 31, 2008.

Established in the New Zealand market since 2004, Intek’s catalogue includes products for residential, commercial and industrial security requirements including: DSC alarm panels for intrusion and perimeter control; Optex sensors and beams for infra-red detection of intruders; Genesis access control systems; Farfisa audio and video door communications; and surveillance solutions from Pelco and Honeywell.

Lawson will partner with the Integral Technology Group, which was set as a preferred technology partner at the start of 2008. The Lawson system will be deployed on an IBM Power 6 System i, with Integral Technology providing full management and support.
