Hot air tool

Hernan Alcerreca

Quick Soldering tools released a new hot air tool called the Quick856AD. The system has rated heating power output of 1300W, temperature range of 100-500°C, full digital control of air flow, air temperature and heating time.

Parameters of temperature, heating time and flow can be saved in three channel memories for call on demand for different rework jobs. Passwords can be set to lock settings to protect against inadvertent changes. The handle has an integrated sensor to trigger the system into operation and to shut down when replaced into its holder.

Also included are foot pedals, which can trigger the heating cycle instead of the handle sensor. The system is capable of working on the smallest chip components through to large heat sinking components like power devices and RF shields. Various nozzles are available from basic round nozzles through to BGA nozzles. This tool is suitable for standard soldering and leads free (ROHS) soldering applications.
