Arrow Electronics says it has signed a distribution agreement with Microsoft to distribute the software company’s embedded software products including Windows CE, Windows Embedded Standard and the range of embedded POS and Server products. Arrow will also provide software and hardware solutions to its customers in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are extremely excited to be working with Microsoft, a worldwide leader in software, services and Internet technologies for consumer and business computing,” says Gert Labuschagne, vice president of South Asia for Arrow. “This collaboration allows us to provide one-stop-shop service to address customers’ software and hardware needs and help customers jump-start development projects and accelerate the time-to-market process.”

“Arrow is one of the leading global distributors with an established presence in the region. We’re excited to be expanding our customer base with Arrow as a sales channel partner,” says Tim Schroder, embedded channel manager of South Asia Pacific for Microsoft. “With increased reliability, shorter time-to-market and lower life-cycle costs, we expect our embedded software products to increasingly become the operating systems of choice for our OEM partners.”
